Daylight savings turned an otherwise 24 hr race into a 25 hour race. 25 hours of riding the same 13 mile mnt. bike loop over and over and over. The race started at 10am on Saturday and finished 10am on Sunday. The solo riders, who actually do loop after loop for 25 hours are sick. Our guys (4 man team) are a little more sane, but doing a loop at 3am is still absurd if you ask me. I've never been so happy to be a spectator and not a racer than when I woke up at 2:57am and didn't have to think..."Ugh, my turn already? Dang, it's cold!" Instead I got to roll back over in my cushy car camping down comforter and let sleep and warmth continue to engulf me.
DAY ONE
We borrowed Chad and Candace's pop-up tent. It was camping luxury! I want one of those.

Any camping trip during college football season just wouldn't be complete without hauling out a heavy satellite dish, tv, and generator so the guys wouldn't miss the big Utah vs. TCU game. Or should I say big LAME game. I was excited to watch it too, but we were all disappointed. ESPN College Gameday was at the U and it was supposed to be an awesome game, but put me to sleep...literally, I took a nap after the 1st quarter. Still, it was fun to have the satellite (as long as it doesn't become a camping habit). It brought over several visitors and made a great lantern when the sun went down.

| When waking up every hour as one guy came in and another left sounded like the perfect set up for a cranky, annoyed night, Jenny and I moved to the jeep. We still woke up to the noise from time to time, but it was much better. |

You guys are CRAZY and to think Cory is marrying my daughter. What was I thinking when I said, "yes, I approve!" I loved the pic of the little guy on his bike. I can hardly wait for a little Cory to ride with GANP PA!... :-)
