Baby's Ultrasound

This is from a while ago....20 weeks, but it's still fun to see

First Days in Salt Lake

Moving to Salt Lake has given us a chance to explore lots of our favorite places that are new to Griff. We've loved getting back to the mountains/canyons and having a season pass to the zoo. With a place to stay and so many new things to do, we've been lucky to have family come stay and play with us. We love living in Salt Lake, but we do miss family.
Trav and Ginny helped us move up. Here we are at Ruth's Diner enjoying good food and a rain storm while sitting on the patio. Such cool temps in July are unheard of in SG so we loved it.

We found these driving up Emigration Canyon after dinner with Trav and Ginny.

Love our new house. Not a fan of the spiders that greeted us. We added screens to the basement windows which now keeps most of them out.

Griff got his own Thomas chair as a house warming gift when he joined us a week after we moved up.

We worried about his transition. He adapted quickly to his new set-up in the new house

Lunch and the Tour de France

Face Timing Grandma and Grandpa. He really misses them and gets excited to talk to them

on our street

Griff loves the polar bear at the zoo. No matter how many times we go see her, it doesn't get old

sea lions

Silverback Gorilla made eye contact with him

Griff making full use of the car's features while waiting for Dad to come out of a store

He's not much of a snuggler so when he curled up into me, I had to get a few shots. He definitely went through a little adjustment period

Millcreek canyon

Local library

Farmers' Market and kettle corn

Trax - riding a "choo choo" for the first time. Griff is obsessed with trains.

A little taken back when it started to move. He said "whoa!"

By the third train, he was comfy enough to go be on his own

Silver Lake up Big Cottonwood Canyon

Moose sighting

I might have spoiled him with a "Planes" plane at Target. So excited to open it in the car

And cars from "Cars." He doesn't usually get anything, but these have been favorites ever since. He was having a down day and I'm pretty sure I was feeling guilty about having moved him from his cousins. So the toys were more to soothe me than him, but he didn't mind.

Wheeler Farm

Ikea. It was too hot for a park and he needed to get out. We spent a long time at this table.

He made himself at home

Millcreek Canyon with Dad

making wishes on dandelions

Cousins came to town. He LOVES Sawyer

We took them up to Silver Lake

Aunt Baylee also came to town. She always comes bringing gifts. Griff had to bring this one in the car with him once he got his hands on it.

Black Ridge Reservoir

He finally let Baylee hold him, but mostly because he didn't like the feel of the sand

Brandon was able to take a little time off work to meet us for an hour before heading back in

Following big cousin's lead

Throwing rocks to Grandma

covering Grandma's feet

Asher joining the fun

No trip to SLC is complete without a trip to the zoo

Temple Square

He found a hat and a phone in his toy box

Dinner at the DoDo. He had crayons...he literally ate them

The blanket Jai Jai made him came in the mail. He took right to it.

Griff's first Professional Cycling Race, Tour of Utah. Little spectator in training. He loved ringing the cow bells

Empire Pass. Last stage of the race

He got a water bottle one of the racers discarded by us. And he immediately partook

We made the live TV coverage. That's us in the upper left corner
