Griff 10 months

This last month was incredibly fast. He's all too mobile. He can get into most things. We've finally child proofed cabinets and close the door to every room in the house when he's just hanging out. He on his feet pushing toys around and sometimes stands on his own, but he's not about to walk without holding on to something. He loves to be chased, he squeals, and he cracks himself up while playing alone. He's eating a lot of table food and wants a bite or sip of whatever we have, whether or not he's eating too.

I love taking him to the store with me. I'll savor this while it's still fun. He watches everything and everyone, making it fun for me to watch him and his reactions. He loves to reach out as people walk by and squeal at them. Sometimes I'll put him standing in the front of the cart (usually a Costco cart because it's deep enough that he can't fall out) and he'll wave like he's the center of attention in a parade. I don't think he's intentionally waving, but it looks that way as he sways his arms and almost sings. He gets a lot of attention and my trips to the store often take longer because of it. But, considering we go to the store for entertainment most days in the hot summer, we don't mind the delay.

Quick trip to SLC

Our friends were headed up to SLC and I had to go pick something up there (will post about that soon) so with little notice, Griff and I headed up. We had time for a few friends, IKEA, and the petting zoo at Thanksgiving point.
I can't remember what Cory is talking to him about, but Griff was into it

He crawled around the incredible kids room at our host's house with a plastic cookie in his mouth

He loved the fountain at City Creek Center. We dipped his feet in

Gigantic bean bag.
Meanwhile, back at home, we had a high speed chase end in our backyard with a shootout. The man ended up getting shot three times and life flighted to the hospital. He lived. Brandon kept us up to date with pictures

Aspen + the Adams

Dave, Sarah, + Ruth Adams joined us at my grandparent's place in Aspen for a couple of days. We traveled by bike (with trailers for the kids) around town, hiked Maroon Bells, played in Independence Pass, took the gondola to the top of Ajax, and got caught in a storm on the Rio Grand trail while on a ride. We had beautifully stormy weather and cool air that was such a relief from the hot, hot summer we've been enduring in the desert.

The gondola was set up for a personal music experience. Wonder how many iPods/iPhones get left on it each season.
