AZ & Kenny G...I'm not kidding

Brandon and I planned to go see my siblings in AZ while my parents were also visiting. A few days before we left we got a call informing us the whole family was going to see Kenny G. Kenny G? Not my first choice, in music or hairstyles, but I have fond childhood memories associated with his music. My dad loves Kenny G music. Smooth jazz, the saxophone. He controlled the remote growing up so that's what I heard blasting through the house on Saturday mornings.

My dad isn't much for public events, especially concerts. He's leaving his comfort zone more and more these days, but, historically, events with potential large crowds and inappropriately behaving attendees do not attract him. He decided, however, to go, IF all of us went. So, last Saturday night we found ourselves on a beautiful golf course watching Kenny G with my Dad.

Surprise...it was incredible. Kenny G is a great entertainer with an unexpected personality. He was really funny. Plus my dad loved it, despite the people. Other than freezing out there, it was a highlight of the trip (I never thought I would put 'Kenny G' and 'highlight' in the same sentence)

The Grand Lux - better than Cheesecake Factory, but owned by the same company.

On a historical house tour...no comment

Shorts! Bubba is wearing shorts! I'm really jealous. I want to see some sunshine. Looks like a fun trip.

Hey Summer!! I didn't know you had a blog. It was fun to see it. Hope all is well with your life. I'm just coming back to reality, after dealing with morning sickness. I'm not feeling "great" yet- but at least I'm starting to join society once again. In case you're interested, I started a blog. You can check it out at:

Talk to you later-
