Aspen + the Adams

Dave, Sarah, + Ruth Adams joined us at my grandparent's place in Aspen for a couple of days. We traveled by bike (with trailers for the kids) around town, hiked Maroon Bells, played in Independence Pass, took the gondola to the top of Ajax, and got caught in a storm on the Rio Grand trail while on a ride. We had beautifully stormy weather and cool air that was such a relief from the hot, hot summer we've been enduring in the desert.

The Continental Divide up Independence Pass

Ruth wearing a pair of Griff's pants tied in a knot as a hat. It was really cold up there

Devil's Punchbowl - swim hole. It was too cold to swim

Lunch at the Sun Deck

The gondola was set up for a personal music experience. Wonder how many iPods/iPhones get left on it each season.
